It was a swimsuit day.

I am pretty sure I have a case of the January blues.
I am tired of being kept inside from the cold, Lydia has a runny nose,
and I am sick of the days getting dark so quickly.
Do you want me to list any more complaints?
So I decided Lydia and I would get in our swimsuits and hang out with space heaters
to pretend we were somewhere warm in hopes it would break up the January blues!
I even had us lay down and pretend we were laying out.
Lydia didn't last very long.

We had a good ten minutes of fun.
I just want to go to sleep and
somebody wake me up when it's warm again please!

Weekend in Midway. Part II.

We snapped a few pictures during our first big sledding adventure as a family.
Lydia was in great spirits, as usual.

The last night we went to a resort that made ice castles!
Amazing and glorious they were!

And Lydia just melts my heart.
Just look at these next picutres of her!
I put her on this little chair on the deck and she just loved it.

Ugh, she is the cutest.
And that about wraps up our weekend in Midway.

362 Project. Week Three.

14/362- Lydia's dirty clothes just waiting to be picked up.

15/362- Charlotte and her footprints in the snow.

16/362- Lydia giggling with her eyes closed.

17/362- My t-shirt and jeans.

18/362- My very messy fabric scrap pile.

19/362- My dirty sweats and Lydia.
I got some kind of food poisoning on Friday night.  Which made me get up and go to the bathroom all night long.  Lydia had to get a cold that same night and couldn't sleep at all either.
LONGEST night ever.  Or at least it felt like it.
So Saturday was spent recovering all day in sweats.

20/362- Greg being a good model for his wife.

Weekend in Midway. Part I.

Greg and I went to a cabin up in Midway a day before his family got there
so we could have our own little family time.
We went out to breakfast in our pajamas that morning.

When driving back to the cabin there was frost still covering everything.
It was so beautiful I made Greg pull over to let me capture the frost.

We then did a little sledding.
Lydia was ready for a nap and not so much a sledding adventure.

Doesn't she look terrified in this picture?
I promise she didn't cry once.  She just sat there with no expression the entire time.

As soon as I took off her winter clothes I sat her on the huge bean bag in front of the fireplace
and she was out.
It was awfully cute.

And I was able to get some crocheting done.  Only a few more granny squares to go!
