Now before I post Lydia's one year extravaganza picture overload,
I must show off this cute baby duck Greg found while mowing the lawn
a couple of weeks ago.
We immediately fell in love with this baby duck.
We thought about raising it as our own baby duck
but then called our friend who raises baby ducks
and he was so nice to come get it.
Our friend comes in takes one look at the little guy
and tells us very nicely that our new friend is not a duck whatsoever.
It's a baby quail!
Yes there are no webbed feet or a bill
but we were convinced Greg had found a baby duck.
You can see how good Greg and I are with animals.
We felt very silly,
but it makes for a good story right?
Apparently, Lydia is terrified of small moving creatures.
How could she be scared of something so cute?
And that baby quial was a quick mover!
He was so tiny and fast it was really hard to get him in focus
before he would take off on me again!
We sure hope that baby quail/duck has a long great life.

I would have thought that is was a duck too. Who would have thought. It sure is a cute little thing. Claire is terrified of all creatures it seems, especially dogs!!!
That little quail is too cute. I love the pictures of Lydia crying. Sometimes babies are scared of the funniest things.
