It's Lydia's birthday.

Lydia came into the world at 6:05 pm on July 30, 2009.

She had quite a bit of dark brown hair in the back and

within that night it was clear she had Greg's eyes.

A couple of hours after she was born Greg took my mom

back to our apartment to get settled in since

she just flew in about an hour before Lydia was born.

I was left alone with Lydia.

She was under the heater lights attached to a thermometer

so I couldn't hold her again until the nurses got a good reading on her temp.

So I just stared at her for an hour or so.

She was so beautiful and perfect.

The Spirit was so strong in the room I could feel it all around us.

I loved her so much at that moment (and still do) 

I felt like I could explode!

All you moms know what the love exploding feeling is like.

Lydia for the most part has been such an 

easy going baby.

From her sleeping habits to her eating habits she has been so good.

Heck, even when my epidural wore off when I was about to push her out

she came out in ten minutes for me just to take it easy on me.

She's a good girl that Lydia is.
I don't think she will ever understand how happy
she makes us until she has her own one day.

Of course she has her moments like screaming her head off when a baseball

hat is placed on her head but we won't get into that stuff.
She'll always be perfect in my heart.
