She's here.

And we just can't get enough of her. Greg and I feel very lucky and so blessed.

Last date alone.

Greg and I went on our last date "alone" tonight. So odd to think that still!
We went to a yummy little place in St. Paul called the Nook.
The Nook serves burgers filled with cheese. They were AMAZING.
Picture of my chubby self at 40 weeks. I did just eat a cheese filled burger.

We also went to the see the Dr.'s today and the Dr. set us up to be induced on Thursday. We couldn't be more thrilled to hear that good news!
Tomorrow is going to be filled with last minute items to get done to prep for baby and sleep!
One of Greg's big questions of the day was,
"What do I wear to the hospital?"
I told him whatever he wants. He is still quite concerned.
Looks like July 30th is the big day for baby Simmons. Wish us luck!

The waiting game.

It's baby Simmons' due date today. No signs of labor whatsoever!
I guess I am left to play the waiting game and look at my cute glitter toes. (Thanks Tara).
And take Charlotte on yet ANOTHER walk and climb some more stairs.

Oh the perks...

Of being 39 1/2 weeks pregnant.

Lake Calhoun.

We visited Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis on Sunday with friends. We had a great time, until a lifeguard kicked Charlotte off the beach. It's okay since I probably couldn't last very long anyways, as I am large and in charge in size.
Perhaps, our last photo before baby Simmons makes her arrival?! I hope so. Less than a week now people.

Homemade Hooter Hider.

I made myself a hooter hider! What a fun title that is.
I have had several friends recommend I get a nursing cover with a way to peek down at your baby for proper latching. I was close to buying one when I came across a easy and simple tutorial on how to make one for myself. I made it in less than half the price that hooter hider's cost and in a couple of hours total. You can find the tutorial here.

Getting prepared.

It was our third weekly doctor visit today, and only one more to go. Our baby is making very slow progress in each visit, but you never know when they are going to make their big debut right? At least that's what I keep telling myself.
To get prepared for celebration after labor and delivery Greg and I bought some sparkling french berry lemonade. Doesn't it look delish? I can't wait to drink some for a million different reasons.

No Minnehaha Falls.

We ventured out to Minneapolis yesterday to go see the Minnehaha falls.
We got there and took a picture of my 38 week along belly and then...

found out the falls were not being ran for the first time in 72 years because of the drought Minnesota is in.

What a bummer. Charlotte was still her happy self,

but Greg was a bit more upset. (The falls were supposed to be right behind him.)
Hopefully, out next outing will be a bit more exciting!

Gregory,

can we please plant these kind of flowers when we get our own garden?

And all sorts of vegetables so I can make fresh salsa for you.
I still want to raise ducks and chickens in our yard too, thank you.

More firework fun.

Fireworks were being let off all weekend long right by us. We took advantage of it and celebrated the 4th even more then next night.

Us Simmons get wild with the fireworks!

Our 4th.

Charlotte and I started the 4th off by dressing up in our finest red, white, and blue outfits to welcome the man in our family home from working away from us for a week.

Sometimes it's hard having a dog THIS adorable.

Greg and I then went out with friends for a Japanese grill feast in downtown Minneapolis.

We watched fireworks that night right in front of our apartments by the Mississippi river. It was wonderful to walk out of your home and have an awesome firework show right there for you!
We also bought our own fireworks and had some festive fun with our many Minnesota sales friends!

Baby Simmons gets showered in St. Paul.

The wonderful wives I live out here with in St. Paul threw me and the baby a shower. These girls are so generous and thoughtful! I loved every minute of the shower. It was quite the party!

Tara was the ''hostess with the mostest'' planning out really AWESOME games to play. Really, they were!

Charlotte's buddy Pooka.

We received gifts that I loved, needed, and wanted!

I can't thank the girls out here enough!
