Lake Lure

Greg and I went to Lake Lure on Sunday. National Geographic named Lake Lure one of the prettiest man made lakes in the world! I was so excited to see it! And it was gorgeous there!

Greg and I went kayaking. We would get out and swim in the lake until we got in trouble! The life gaurd yelled at us from the beach. Party pooper.

Right next to Lake Lure there is a national park called Chimney Rock. This is because on the mountain side of a huge mountain is a huge rock that looks like a chimney!

You can see it in this picture!: We tried to get better pictures of it but then clouds rolled in and we couldn't see it anymore. Bummer.

Greg and I walked around all the little shops in Chimney Rock. We came upon a checker board and I got my butt kicked by Greg. It was fun.

Then we came upon penny candy!!! Greg and I went wild! I haven't seen candy this cheap in years so we just had to go crazy!


We ate at a little place over looking the river draining into Lake Lure.

After dinner we got ice cream! The ice cream place had my favorite ice cream ever! SUPERMAN! It is also called playdough other places. Oh, I love this ice cream. It really does look like you are eating playdough because the colors are so bright and crazy. Yum its good! It makes my day when I get to eat this ice cream!


It is Wednesday, but I just didn't feel like a wordless Wednesday post, but here are the pictures I would have put up without words because I think they are weird and hilarious!

I look like I have no idea what I am doing in that Kayak.
