Blog Christmas Card!

I really wanted to do Christmas cards. I really did! But December has just flown by! I thought I could take care of it after finals but then I had presents to buy and wrap, sewing projects, working at the hospital, and all sorts of other things that just came up! So this is our Christmas card. And I vow to make a real Christmas card next year.

Greg is busy changing majors! That's right! Greg doesn't feel medical school is the right fit for him any more and is leaning towards business/finance now. He will continue to go to the University of Utah though! Go Utes!
Greg is also very busy working as a manager for Platinum Protection. He is loving the job and working hard on getting his office together for this coming summer to sell security systems. We find out in mid January of where we will be living/working in the summer so I will keep everyone posted!
Also, in his spare time, Greg likes to grow his goatee, browse online for golf clubs or camera accesories, eat chips and salsa, listen to sports radio of any kind, reads espn.com many times a day, and spends time with his wife (he does have a lot more helpful and productive hobbies, but I thought it would be fun just to mention the ones off of the top of my head)!

I am out of school and have only three semesters of school left until I have that blissful degree, a Bachelor's degree. Yes! I acutally only have two more semesters on the campus because I am able to complete a semester online when we go out in the summer. My degree is called Health Promotion with a minor in nutrition education. Many wonder what this is? I will explain, it is preventing the problems with your health! Instead of treating health issues, I will be educating the public on anything that could harm your health and how to lead a healthy lifestyle. I would like to be able to teach in schools, but community clinics and hospitals are also an option for me as well. Geez, sorry that was so boring!
I work at the University Utah hospital as a health care assistant. I work in the resource dept. which just means I float around to all the different floors of the hospital where they need staffing, including Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Whenver I work at the Huntsman hospital I come home just being so grateful for Greg and I's health! It is so sad to see such a disease run rampant in so many people's lives. I do learn a lot from the patients I help and it gives me strength to apply it in my life in whatever I do!
My hobbies of late would be sewing, scrapbooking, photography, exercising, shopping, trying to be a good wife to Greg, and spending time with Greg.

Well, sorry so much writing but I had to give everyone an update on us Simmons!

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone and we love you all!

LOVE,

The Simmons :)

P.S. Our first turtle Sunny died while we were in Mexico. Poor guy. Never saw it comin. We still have our dear Cher and she will be having a very blue Christmas. Please keep her in your thoughts. Thankyou.

Hey there! Glad to see everything is going well for you and Greg! By the way, Bobbie Jo graduated in Health Promotions as well here at WSU and my brother graduated in that over there at the U... So if you ever need pointers, I'm sure they can help you out! Good luck with everything! Love ya!
